1st Official Date
Aug. 4th, 2018 12:19 amThese were... probably the most unusual of circumstances Yami had ever found herself in. She was no longer just a weapon, she'd come to terms with that idea when she finally confronted the inner weapon inside of herself. Nemesis no longer could influence her life against her own will, and in many ways was indebted to Rito and intended to act in his 'best interests' whatever she thought those might be. In all of this chaos, all of these romantic rivals... somehow Mikan had convinced Yami to ask Rito out on a date. Even more surprising to Yami was that Rito had accepted, since she was unsure if Rito still thought of her as someone who wanted to kill him.
Were it not for the fact that Mikan was her best friend who she loved more than anyone or anything in the galaxy, she wasn't sure if she'd have had the courage to do this, yet here she was in the park in a pink top, a skirt, and sandals, waiting for Yuuki Rito. Mikan had assured her that she was the closest person to Rito, so if anyone could be trusted in getting Rito to go for her it was her. She wasn't sure if she wanted Rito to 'go for her' since most of the time that entailed him doing ecchi things to her, but there was a more warm and honest side to him that she did want for herself. Was it selfish of her that she wanted him all to herself when so many girls wanted him? Was it okay for her and Mikan to try to skew things in this direction away from the machinations of the other women in his life?
Yami didn't have the answers she was looking for, she barely even had the answers to what it was she was looking for from Rito or if a date was really the way to find it. She just knew that she wanted something to change and she trusted in Mikan that if she felt these feelings she felt towards Rito, this was the way she should act upon them. The most important thing that Mikan had said she had to do was to try to change Rito's perception of her from intergalactic assassin hell bent on killing him, to a cute, shy girl who he'd want to be with. Apparently the best way to do that was to start off with changing from her normal attire to something a bit more cute that she'd tried once before her life had become a bit more settled down.
She tapped her sandals together as she sat on the park bench, wiggling her toes as she nervously waited for him to show up. She wanted to look good for their date, but she didn't really have much experience with dating other than what she'd read. Mikan had given her all sorts of advise, but she just wasn't sure how much of it she could actually follow, and more than anything else she wanted this date to go well.

Yami was... not very happy with the results of her attempts to protect Hei. In spite of her best efforts she'd not only failed to keep him from getting hurt... but when he did get hurt she was a bit... extreme in her counter attack. She'd left all but one of them horribly mangled and bloody, the last one begging for his life with tears in his eyes. She hadn't actually killed the others, using such sharp precise cuts that it was like thousands of paper cuts that would cause them pain like if they'd been skinned alive, but not actually lethal.
"Crawl back to your masters. Go to them, and tell them to never trouble this man again, because he is now under the protection of Golden Darkness. If he does not know what that means, let the others you bring back with you serve as evidence to your testimony." She'd told the one man who hadn't been hurt by her frenzy of hair and blades this, blood dripping from her hands. The man thought his partners in crime surely were going to die, but she assured him, they merely would feel like it.
Meanwhile Hei? The'd managed to get to him with an attack she hadn't even seen, heard, or felt coming until the very last second, and while it was enough to save him from death, he still had a terrible gash in his abdomen. The one who delivered the attack was in shock for just enough time that she managed to protect him even to that extent, and it allowed her to counter attack by strangling him into a state of unconsciousness so he wouldn't be able to try it again.
The grille Hei had bought... was actually still intact but Yami still felt guilty. She'd promised to protect him, and now she was sewing up his wound with needle and thread made from her hair after numbing him as best she could... which wasn't much. She couldn't move him until she at least treated that much, and she'd used her water bottle to clean and prepare the wound. "I'm sorry Hei, this is going to sting. And I'm sorry that... It seems I am not quite as good at protecting others as I am at fighting."
